Overall improvements

I thought I'd make a post about all of the things that have been a problem for me leading up to my Crohn's diagnosis and state. I only now realize how bad it was now that I am free of them. What I was taking for granted was completely caused by my own unconscious lifestyle and dietary habits.

I suffered from:

-Chronic fatigue
-Depression and anxiety
-Chronic discomfort and pain in my joints, neck, back, and legs (if standing for a while).
-Frequent headaches (a few times every week) - Not migraines, but persistent headaches that were very close to unbearable
-DSPS (Delayed sleep phase syndrome, which has been following me for over a decade)
-No interest in most things and no energy to pursue the little that still interested me
-Allergies - This became specially bad around the time my Crohn's was active. It never was such a problem in my life before, they were very mild.
-Skin issues - In my teens I had to go on Accutane three times. As a result, my skin became very dry, but overall I tolerated it well and it helped my skin. Except many years after, I found myself still having some unpleasant zits, and still had a lot in my back. It never got as bad as it once was, but I was still unhappy about it.

I can say that all of these things have improved significantly. Since cutting out oils and using the sun or my sunlamp, my skin has been virtually perfect. I don't sneeze much anymore. Headaches? I took one acetaminophen capsule in the past month or so. I usually needed two, sometimes three days in a row. My DSPS is now under control with cycling during the day, which I have the energy to do only because of my WFPB diet to begin with. The diet is clearly very anti-inflammatory, since I am virtually free of any aches that I used to have frequently. Even after exercising, I can just have a good night's sleep and be ready to go the next day. No longer have to rely on MSM (which I'm avoiding anyway in case sulfur worsens Crohn's...). I haven't felt depressed or fatigued in a while either.

So, the only problem left to deal with is the Crohn's, and it's still very manageable. I have an urgency to go to the bathroom a couple times a day, and that's mostly it. Depending on what I eat, I have moderate to mild flatulences. But it doesn't stop me from doing 30km bike rides, and so far there hasn't been any accident. But I do hope that my gut fully heals and that I will be able to improve on this in the next months so that I no longer have to worry at all about finding bathrooms when I go out.
